Barlow is the Site Manager for the Spaulding Rehabilitation Clinic in Braintree, MA. In addition to obtaining his Master's in Physical Therapy from the Institute, he earned his DPT in 2005. Barlow is also an APTA Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics. His primary interest is in treating outpatient musculoskeletal conditions and sport injuries with a strong focus on manual skills combined with exercise-based training. He is a strong advocate for the profession of physical therapy and is currently President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the APTA.

Working in the first hospital in New England to have physical therapists regularly assigned in the Emergency Department, Dr. Rabadam is one of the three physical therapists in the ED's "Fast Track" service. By providing advanced PT care on the spot, emergency patients are less likely to end up with chronic or long-term recovery problems. He previously worked with pediatric burn patients at Boston Shriner's Hospital for Children.

As supervisor for a group of physical therapists on an acute care general medical team, Dr. Bates promotes the use of evidence-based practice; participates in strategic planning, program development, and quality improvement activities; and contributes to interdisciplinary committees focused on improving the care of patients at the hospital. Prior to completing her transitional DPT, she earned an MS in Physical Therapy from Duke University.

Shannon has spent eight of his ten years as a physical therapist working in an outpatient setting. After completing both his DPT and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Orthopaedics, he wanted to apply the advanced clinical knowledge he had learned under the tutelage of a mentor. He found it through the MGH Institute’s Orthopaedic Clinical Residency program. “I have had the opportunity to work with exemplary mentors who have brought me to higher levels of thinking, and have challenged me to better myself clinically,” says Shannon.

Scarborough supervises clinical research associates, interning students and volunteers involved in gait and motion analysis for research subjects and clinical patients of various ages and medical conditions. She is the Principal Investigator of a collaborative venture with MIT to develop and test wireless, position-sensing "cyber shoe".

Terkelsen graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2002. She grew up on Cape Cod and always knew she wanted to return. Upon graduating, when the chance arose to return and run a branch of a popular outpatient physical therapy clinic, Physiotherapy Associates, she lept at the opportunity. Physiotherapy has more than 500 clinics in 32 states and is well-known as a practice that provides patients with a full continuum of care at a variety of levels. Terkelsen is very happy in her career and hopes to stay with Physiotherapy for a long time.
