Aphasia Center at MGH Institute of Health Professions The MGH Institute Aphasia Center is a specialty center of Speech, Language, and Literacy that operates onsite at the Institute, as part of the Graduate Program in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Each semester, about four second-year graduate students complete one of their clinical practica experiences by working in the Aphasia Center. The center serves individuals with aphasia and other neurogenic communication disorders, and offers both individual and group treatment. The Aphasia Center is coordinated by Marjorie Nicholas, PhD, CCC, an associate professor in the program who also teaches the course on aphasia. Students are supervised by either Dr. Nicholas or by Eileen Hunsaker, MS, CCC. |
